The opening ceremony of L.C.F.A.

On 1 October 2024, the opening ceremony of the Latvian-Chinese Friendship Association (L.C.F.A.) took place at the Grand Palace Hotel in Riga, bringing many excellent and enthusiastic people together. Though the weather was chilly and rainy, the historical event and the warmth of the guests made the day delightful and unforgettable.

The ceremony started at 4 PM with opening speeches by the President of the L.C.F.A., Dr. Ņina Linde, and His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Tang Songgen. These were followed by speeches from co-founder Krista Dāvida, Prof. Kaspars Kļaviņš and “China Times EU” editor Mr. Gerald Hoppstaedter. Throughout the ceremony there were wonderful musical performances, including a violin piece by Deniss Andrejevs, a Chinese dance performed by Taisija Jansone and trilingual singing by Jekaterina Bai. Wine and refreshments were served throughout, making the atmosphere truly pleasant.

During the ceremony, guests learned about the goals, mission and aspirations of the association, as well as the benefits of membership, and many showed keen interest in joining as new members. The event ended at 6 PM, with guests and organisers alike pleased with how the day had gone.
