Guest lecture about the culture and art of Tibet (Xizang) inspires to visit this magical region of China

On November 9, 2024, the members of L.C.F.A. participated in the China Foreign Exchange Association guest lecture about the culture and art of Tibet, which was organised by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. This event was not only a great chance to get new knowledge about Tibet from experts of Tibetology and guest lecturers who call Tibet their motherland, but also an opportunity to make new contacts and discuss new cooperation opportunities.

The guest lecturers shared photos and stories about the picturesque land of Tibet, which is attractive to tourists. The members learned a lot of interesting facts and gained valuable knowledge — for example, that Lhasa, the administrative centre of Tibet, has earned the title of the happiest city in China for several years consecutively; that a lot of attention is being paid to ecological protection in Tibet, with carbon neutrality now achieved on the Tibetan plateau; and that, thanks to the provision of medical services, life expectancy for people in Tibet has grown from 35.5 years to 72.19 years over the last 65 years.
