Talks with the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce

On 2 December 2024, L.C.F.A.’s administration met with Mr. Shi Dengding, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, alongside representatives of West Shanghai Group Co. Ltd., Shanghai “Oujian” Network Development Group Co. Ltd., and other members of the federation.

The Shanghai guests were welcomed with a musical performance and an audiovisual presentation about Latvia. L.C.F.A. president Dr. Ņina Linde introduced the association’s goals and activities, and set out possibilities for cooperation between Latvia and China in economy, education, culture and innovation.

Igors Udodovs, Deputy Manager of Ventspils Freeport, also took part, presenting the port’s experience of cooperation with China and its plans for further growth. Developing economic cooperation is one of the association’s core goals: connecting entrepreneurs, investors and industries from both countries, and encouraging trade and mutually beneficial partnerships.

L.C.F.A. invited the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce to the 7th International Economic Forum, held at the Latvian Academy of Sciences on 7–9 March 2025.
