The 8th International Humanistic Economic Forum: L.C.F.A. member Dr. Haidong Feng successfully defends his doctoral dissertation

The 8th International Humanistic Economic Forum “INNOVATIVE ECONOMY IN TIMES OF GEOPOLITICAL CHANGE”, which took place at the Latvian Academy of Sciences from March 5-7, 2026, brought together more than 200 participants, including ambassadors, diplomats from European and Asian countries, as well as academic speakers.

One such speaker was a member of the Latvian-Chinese Friendship Association (L.C.F.A.), Haidong Feng, who earned his doctoral degree in social sciences (economics and business) at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Latvia. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on April 17, 2026.

During the workshop “NEW ASIAN MARKETS: EXPORTS, INVESTMENTS AND GEOPOLITICAL CHANGES”, Dr. Feng introduced his research exploring the import market potential of Northwestern China (Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Xinjiang provinces) and its economic impact.
